An Autumn Benefit
October 27, 2016
On October 26th, New Outlook Homecare had the privilege of being a sponsor for the Brookline Council on Aging’s Autumn Benefit honoring Alan Balsam. Alan has been the Director of Brookline’s Public Health and Human Services for the past 21 years and will be retiring this year. He has been a strong advocate for seniors throughout his career and created the Division of Elder Health at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. He also founded the Community Servings, meals on wheels program serving individuals with critical illnesses.
It was an honor to be a part of this wonderful event. Fully catered, guests enjoyed music, dancing and a sing-along with Alan Balsam himself playing guitar. The Brookline Senior Center is dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors over the age of 60 and will continue to do so with their Dancing with the Brookline Stars event on November 5th. This event will raise money for much-needed transportation services to help seniors who no longer drive ensuring them to stay safe and engaged in their community.
