fall-leavesNew Outlook Homecare, LLC, under the direction of Pearly Evans, provides excellent homecare and caregiving services.

I became acquainted with Pearly as she regularly helps clients residing in Traditions of Dedham, Massachusetts, where my aunt went to live for the almost last two years of her life, from age 88 to 90.  Initially my aunt was independent, but as she weakened after two hospital and short rehab stays, she required oxygen, and after 4 months, she was on oxygen 24/7. With the use of oxygen, in-room care was required. I hired Pearly to be my aunt’s in-room caretaker for about 8 to 12 hours a day at the outset. Ultimately, New Outlook Homecare, LLC was with my aunt 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for months on end – in her studio apartment at Traditions.

My aunt was very particular, but she seemed to bond quickly with Pearly. It became a reciprocal friendship, a bond that only became deeper over time. She relied on Pearly and her staff for the most basic simple activities and needs of daily life, which they provided with no hesitation.  Even when Pearly was not with her 24/7 at the outset, she kept an eye out for my aunt to make sure everything was ok. This was vital for me living in New York to know that my aunt was properly cared for. They treated her with respect from Day 1, a posture that was always consistent, no matter how difficult the situation could be.

Staffing and training for New Outlook Homecare, LLC:

Pearly and her staff are dedicated, compassionate, and well trained. They interact very well with Traditions staff when needed. When my aunt went on in-room hospice care in October 2015, hospice determined what medication was required and hospice nurses came in as needed.  But it was really Pearly and her staff who kept a close eye on my aunt –flagging any issues, reaching out to the hospice care provider when needed, and even made sure medications were up to date and re-ordered on a regular basis. My aunt had a long decline and they were with her every step of the way. Even as her medications became more complex, they were trained and equipped to handle this.

Close ties:

My aunt also became very close to another New Outlook Homecare caretaker, Rachel.  Between the two of them with my aunt daily, they have been a lifeline. They are kind, compassionate people, who truly love the elderly, and help them achieve as much dignity as possible. Pearly also is always upbeat and vibrant, and whose humor had my aunt cracking up. Pearly, Rachel and the other caretakers were a true comfort to my aunt. Pearly and Rachel would hold my aunt’s hand, never let my aunt out of their sight, watching for subtle changes or indications of discomfort, and just being with her, up until the very end in early November 2016.  I can honestly say they are God’s angels.
